Noah Maguire is here | January 29, 2012

You may remember Rachel and Kevin Maguire from their amazing wedding at Serenbe almost 2 years ago.  This couple is just beyond adorable!  When I got an email from Rachel saying they were expecting a baby boy and wanted me to do some newborn photos I was so excited!  I knew these two would make one cute baby, and such a well behaved little guy for our photo shoot.  He even stayed awake the whole time!  Congrats to Rachel and Kevin!

The apple of Daddy’s eye!We all cry together!Adorable family!Maybe Dad can teach me how to play?
Probably my favorite family photo…Wise beyond his yearsOne happy mama!

Working for Gwinnett Church | January 8, 2011

Last night I did something different.  I volunteered to photograph the happenings at Gwinnett Church!  It was really awesome to see all that goes on in the world of a North Point Ministries Church.  Last night was the first night that Gwinnett Church moved into it’s new temporary home at Cross Pointe Church.  Cross Pointe did an AMAZING thing by opening their doors to Gwinnett Church to host our 6pm Sunday services for the next year.  Talk about an act of stewardship!  The campus is amazing and is a perfect fit for the church.  We almost filled up the room on the first Sunday there!  Big thanks to Cross Pointe!  I can’t wait to see what is in store for my church in the next few years!

Our amazing volunteer ushers and greeters!Transit (the middle school environment) was finally able to have a home thanks to this new campus!Parking help is crucial!Waumba Land and Upstreet are two incredible children environments.Jeff Henderson giving us our welcome. One awesome stage for the band to rock out on!It was packed!

2011 year end wrap up!

2011 was such an amazing year!  We shot 29 incredible weddings all over the state of Georgia, and even traveled to the Dominican Republic for one!  I am so very blessed to have some of the most sweet, incredible, beautiful couples out there!  If 2012 is anything like 2011, I will consider myself very fortunate! To recap this year I thought I’d share one photo from every wedding:)

Thanks to all who helped out on my team this year!  I couldn’t have done it without all of you!

All Aboard the Polar Express!

If you go over to my sister’s house, it’s Thomas the train and Polar Express ALL day EVERY day.  Lots of choo choos, chugga chuggas, etc etc.  If you come to my house, same thing!  My fiance Bobby has been collecting trains since he was a little boy and has more train memorabilia and cars then I have ever seen!  Not sure who was more excited, the little ones, or the big ones!  Needless to say, we all had a FANTASTIC time heading up to Bryson City, North Carolina to go ride a real live Polar Express experience!  My parents rented a cabin that was literally on the top of a mountain (my sister was freaked out the entire drive up, and down, no matter how many times we did the trek) and took us on the train ride for our Christmas gift this year.  Thanks so much guys!  We all had an absolute blast.  Let’s do it again!  Here are some highlights from our weekend.

I’ll start with a photo of my adorable parents since they are the reason for this trip! The night sky was beautiful since we were in the middle of no where!Amazing sunrise over the smoky mountainsI enjoy my coffee with a side of sunshine. My handsome fianceThe Hodges familyThat’s where we are! This train museum was madness.  I think it got my Bobby thinking…Pajamas are how we roll…Imagine that, I got in a family photo! My BobbyLittle BobbyI think this is my favorite image of the whole trip.  Quin is SO excited to get on the train with Uncle Bobby!  They talk about Uncle Bobby all the time since he loves trains too!All aboard the Polar Express! They had tickets like the movie and book!  So cute!mmmmmThis lovely lady was our host on the Champion train car.  She danced, sang, and brought us hot chocolate!  Hooray!Catch that cookie! The conducter came by and punched all the little ones’s tickets! This face says it all.We had a few guests come by too!  Even got a few bells to take home.

Christmas is almost here!

I can’t believe that Christmas is this Sunday!  Usually the month of December drags by, but with working, planning a wedding and such, this whole YEAR has flown by.  Only two short months and I’ll be married!  Madness!

But anyway, some dear friends of mine (you may remember the Johnsons) wanted a “tacky” Christmas card photo, and I HAD to do it!  We went down to Stone Mountain for some Christmas festivities and snatched these few shots.  Who’s game for this idea next year?!?!?!

We had to get a quick shot too… Merry Christmas everyone!
