People ask me all the time for recommendations on different vendors that I might recommend in the wedding industry. Here I will name a few favorites of mine:
FLOWERS
La Petite Fleur Corrine and her team make some of the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen. I worked with them several times in 2011 and am blown away!
Moss Floral Events I recently worked with Moss on a wedding in Madison, GA. Their arrangements are BEAUTIFUL! Such unique and stunning combinations of flowers, and the ladies at Moss are super sweet! They will make the bouquet of your dreams!
Twigs Leaves and Flowers Cyndi Israel is a super talented, super sweet florist located in the McDonough area. She is open to traveling in the metro Atlanta area. Her work is fabulous!
Ciao Bella Weddings This team does absolutely incredible work. They do everything to make your day be the fairy tale setting that you envision. Need flowers? Check. Need beautiful linens? Check. These wedding designers will make your venue look breathless! I’m using Nikki and her talented team for my own wedding day. Can’t wait!
VIDEOGRAPHER
Wedding Storytellers I just had the chance to work with Mike Henry from Wedding Storytellers recently. He is super nice, chill, and works GREAT alongside other photographers! He was great as working as a team player with myself and my colleagues and even helped us out at times! Definitely give him a shout!
Your Wedding Video Sucks All I can say about Justin Metcalfe is WOW. Typically, it is hard for us photographers to find videographers that we work well with side by side (competing for the same shot) but Justin is so easy to work with, and his work is AMAZING. Annie’s Video Memories I have had the pleasure of working with Annie several times on weddings in the Athens area. She is FANTASTIC! Super nice, super easy to work with, and a great addition to your wedding day!
CATERING
Hallie Janes Once again, I worked with this company in planning my sister’s wedding. They are fabulous, affordable, and have AMAZING fried chicken! If you’re looking for a great small company to work with, I would highly recommend them.
Affairs to Remember I have worked with Affairs more times than I can count. They are one of the biggest catering companies in the Atlanta area. Their food is amazing, staff is super nice, and they have some really unique items to choose from.
Bold American Catering These guys are AMAZING! I am always more than impressed by the job that Bold American does for events. The food is top notch, staff is incredible, and they even catered to me! Can’t ask for more! I am using Bold for my own wedding. Need I say more?
WEDDING PLANNERS
Elly B Events Eliana is where it’s at! I love this woman. She’s super fun, but she means business! She will take care of your wedding day to a T! Even using her for my own bash!
Susan Graham This is the lady to make things happen! Susan was named one of Atlanta’s top ten wedding planners in Atlanta Occasions Magazine, and for good reason! I have worked with her several times over the course of my career, and she is amazing! She will make sure that your dream wedding becomes a reality!
Bash Bailey Matthews Beaver is the creator and coordinator of this fabulous company out of Atlanta. She is super sweet, down to earth, and ready to make your wedding a reality!
All Events Perfect Sarah-Jane Bennett is amazing. Her timelines are perfect, her attention to detail spectacular, but most of all, she creates the wedding of your dreams! Highly recommended!
VENUES
The Inn at Serenbe Ok. Seriously, this place is MAGICAL. The property is by far one of the largest, most beautiful lands around the Atlanta area. Large green fields, flowers that cascade over your head, barns, etc, etc. I LOVE this place. Check out a wedding at Serenbe HERE.
The Old Decatur Courthouse What an amazing place! If you are wanting a unique venue with some history behind it, this is the place! The Old Courthouse is situated in the heart of downtown Decatur and is such an amazing building! Dunaway Gardens Dunaway is what I call fairytale land. This gigantic park was even visited by Walt Disney himself! It is acres upon acres of breathtaking views. Flowers, water, trees, permanent outdoor tents with flooring (how cool!) and an amphitheater! Look at Katherine’s wedding to see how awesome it is!
Wolf Mountain Vineyards Did you know that Georgia has a wine highway? Now you do. This vineyard is by far my favorite (and if you know me well, you know I’m a wino). The place is absolutely beautiful, and if you like wine, theirs is some of the best I have ever tasted. If you really like their wine, join their wine club (like me!) The vineyard is nestled on top of a mountain in Dahlonega. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, and never gets old every time I go visit. Cuscowilla This venue is located in the Lake Oconee area. If you are looking for a venue with water in the background, this is it. Their outdoor ceremony actually takes place at a point out on the Lake. They have amazing picture spots all over the property too. To see a slideshow at this venue, please click HERE.
Lake Lanier Lake Lanier is so beautiful. They have several different venues for your big day! And of course, amazing lake views
I love it because all your friends and family can stay together on the property and enjoy what’s there. Go check it out. It’s really amazing. See Stephanie and Brandi’s wedding for two different venues!
MAKEUP
Scoobie West Scoobie is the MAN! He makes brides look perfect. Seriously. One of the most talented makeup artists I have ever worked with. A must call!
Gretchen Zarett Gretchen has worked with me on many a wedding. She is a joy to be around and a calming influence on your big day! Her work is absolutely beautiful!
BANDS
Party Nation This is not a wedding band, they are a PARTY band! You will feel like you are at a live concert when these guys perform. They have a full band onstage, multiple singers, and they do a range of songs from Eminem to KC & the Sunshine band.
The Dickens I LOVE THE DICKENS! This band is incredible. I honestly wouldn’t mind just going to hear them play at a venue. Super talented, super fun, and they are all just genuinely nice people. Definitely give them a call!
DRESS
Wedding Angels Wedding Angels was great in their old location, but holy moly, the new spot is even better! The consultants are super friendly and knowledgable and they carry some beautiful work from their designers. This is where I found my gown, so you know it’s got to be worth checking out! Go ask for Christine You won’t be disappointed!
Demetrios This store is INCREDIBLE! The staff is wonderful, the selection of gowns is enormous, the fitting rooms are comfortable, and the dresses are GORGEOUS! I myself almost bought a dress from their Atlanta store. Go in and ask for Tracy and Rosemary!
DJS
Music to Remember Gary Braner is the man! He does weddings, as well as spinning at other events around the city. If you are looking for someone who is professional, spins good music, and is easy to work with, look him up!
Pulse DJ Services I just worked with Chris Meeks at a recent wedding. This guy is INCREDIBLE. The perfect “lite” mc as he called himself. Not over the top, just a good DJ that plays the music you want to hear, and does an excellent job at it! One of my favorites for sure! I’m using him for my own big day!
Connections Entertainment These guys know how to party! They will keep the tunes pumping all night long!
Uptown Entertainment I have worked with this handsome father/son team a few times. They are great MCs for your introduction into the party, and most important of all, AMAZING at keeping the music and party going!
COOL WEBSITES
Atlanta Bridal I am an advertiser on this site. This is a great website to help you out with planning all the details for your wedding. Their lists of vendors for just about everything you could ever think if is SO extensive. This is a great tool for planning that special day in your life!
International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers As the title of this reads, this is an INTERNATIONAL group of wedding photographers! You have to have shot a minimum of 50 weddings on your own to even be considered to become a part of this group. They also hold quarterly contests and all of that fun stuff. I am so honored to be a part of this group!
Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association This is such a cool association to be a member of! This site recognizes photographers WORLDWIDE that take photos with a little more “artistic” flair. They also do quarterly contests to keep members on their toes. I have placed multiple images in their contests
Wedding Photojournalist Association This member’s association recognizes photographers that photograph weddings in a journalistic style. I consider myself priveldged to be among the ranks of this great association. I have placed in their contests multiple times!
